How long does it last?
Roughly 12 weeks with all five reeds in a normal-sized room. Fewer reeds makes it last longer. Heat, airflow and air conditioning all shorten it — a diffuser in a hallway with the AC running will go faster than one in a closed bedroom.
It doesn't smell like anything. Did I get a faulty one?
Almost certainly not — you've probably left the inner stopper in.
Under the walnut collar there's a small plastic plug that seals the bottle for shipping. It has to come out before the reeds can draw. Lift the collar, remove and discard the plug, replace the collar, then insert the reeds.
Give it an hour after that. The reeds need time to draw the oil all the way up.
How often do I flip the reeds?
Once a week is plenty. Flipping refreshes the scent because it brings saturated oil to the top — but it also uses the oil faster. If the scent feels too strong, don't flip; just remove a reed or two.
How many reeds should I use?
Three for a bedroom or bathroom. Five for an entryway, majlis, or open-plan room.
Start with fewer than you think. You can always add.
Is it safe around children and pets?
There's no flame and no electricity, which makes it safer than a candle. But the oil itself shouldn't be ingested or get on skin, so keep it somewhere it can't be knocked over or reached — a high shelf or the back of a console rather than a low coffee table.
If you have a cat, place it where the cat can't get to it. Cats are more sensitive to some fragrance compounds than dogs or people are.
Will it damage my furniture?
The oil will mark varnished wood, painted surfaces and some stone if it spills. Always use a coaster or a tray. Wipe any drips immediately.
Can I refill it?

Use fresh reeds with each refill. Old reeds clog with dust and saturated oil and stop drawing properly.
What does it actually smell like?
Green fig over Arabian frankincense. Cool and milky at the top, dry and resinous underneath.
Subtle rather than loud, and it holds — it's still there at the end of an evening. If you're used to sweet, gourmand diffusers, this will read as restrained. That's deliberate.
Where do you deliver?
Across Riyadh in 2–4 working days, with the rest of the Kingdom between 3-5 working days.
Do you ship internationally?
Not yet, fragrance oils are classified as consumer chemical products, which restricts air freight and complicates customs. It's the reason most small fragrance brands stay domestic at first.
